i was in lake tahoe and it was late i was walking back from my cousins cabin wearing jeans a pink shirt and my cat ear hat. i heard my brother jacob yell for me and ran to him he was inside the pool and i had to open the gate by sticking my hand through one of the holes and turning the nob from the inside i went to jacob and in the pool was a bunny swimming in the deep end it looked cute and sweet until it stopped swimming something was wrong with him nobody seemed to know what to do i took my shoes off and debated jumping in i heard my mom yell "jake jump in" he did nothing but that decided it for me i quickly got into the water and swam to the bunny i lifted him up with one hand he was light and small i swam back to the side and placed him on shore gasping for breath as i got out i was soping wet my cat ears hat my shirt and pants the things i had in my pocket like the 20$ my house key and the tiny stuffed animal i didnt even realize at first how wet i was unitl i saw the bunny breath out, he never took another breath my brother orderd me and my younger cousin to leave and we did but not before the tears began to fall i got inside and took off my clothing in the bathrooom and went upstairs crying and telling my mom if i had only been faster or kept my shoes on if only i hadnt hesitated he would be alive because of me he was dead.
